Africa 2008 - The giant hug black
Lavumisa, the border between Swaziland and South Africa.
Over the past three days I traveled to South Africa, Mozambique and coasted through the Swaziland from north to south. The next step, after the border is the east coast of South Africa, its endless white beaches and the amazing ecosystem of St. Lucia.
The tail rich man to enter the African state is a long snake endlessly.

The steppe desert, the dusty road, a handful of earth houses.

I look around again, look at this huge expanse of African faces.

I feel lost without even having played.
The African sun is hot, but I shudder inside, down the bottom.
They open a door just for us whites. We are only a dozen in fact, so think to help us quickly reach the 4 star hotels that await tourists across the border.
But approaching the counter, the situation becomes increasingly congested. The crowd is awesome, I'm crushed, pressed by a madman and uncontrolled black embrace. It becomes impossible to move even an inch.
breathe slowly, to avoid some panic, keep our eyes fixed on my passport.
minutes pass, I seem like hours.
I can see far, the clerk at the counter. It 's a white Afrikaner, the panic on the faces and clothes drenched in sweat.
more minutes pass. The employee is now near.
I can extend the passport stamped and get it back to get on the exit door.
Breath.
still breathing.
I feel my heart beating. Forte. A moment ago
beat in unison with others, followed the rhythm of a long concert of African drums.

The jungle, the huge leaves, roots sprouting everywhere and draw the earth.
The girl who gives me a dry fruit to open with his teeth.
The temples, the smell of incense.
The Chief, chieftain iban, which tells the story of its ancient and traditional tattoos.
chants of Ramadan in the sunset of Kuching.
The French guy, which I do not know neither the name nor the face that tells me a long history on the night of Bako.
the squeak of bats that cover the cave of the fairies. The dorms

The noodle and the sticks. Pancakes.
The owner of the shop of Bau which gives me a ride. I drain the bags of rice in the store. Josep
who smiles at me. The sky will open.
The bath in the river in the morning. Just me, the children and the jungle.
The traditional rice wine, each bottle tastes different.
Nabila who is 9 years old and speaks four languages.
The rain that falls flat, without haste. All of a sudden downpour, without respite.
The sun dries everything burns my skin, it releases the fragrance.
The market Seriam, including fried sweets, fruits and vegetables.
My new sarong, its brilliant colors.
The road rushing under the wheels of the bus.
The river which flows slowly, under the long wooden boat.

U2 played at Slane Castle in front of 80,000 people, after having been there once before, in 1981, as the opening concert of the band Thin Lizzy.
The show shows some poignant points, as the dedication of Bono "Kite" to his father, who died of cancer a few days before, and " All I Want Is You" to his wife, Ali Hewson . During "New Year's Day " Bono gets a flag thrown by the Irish public to celebrate the Irish national soccer team to 2002 World Cup qualifiers
that day, the game was broadcast before the concert and this added further fun atmosphere.
